Pro hydroseeding for lush lawns, fast

A lush lawn in days, not months.

Pro hydroseeding for new construction, repair patches, erosion control, and storm-scarred slopes. We mix seed, mulch, fertilizer, and tackifier on site and spray a green slurry that germinates in 5–7 days.

Measure your area and get an instant estimate

Search for your property, draw a polygon around the area to be hydroseeded, choose your mix type, and we'll calculate a tiered price estimate on the spot — including a slope adjustment for embankments.

Up to 10× cheaper than sod

Cover thousands of square feet for the cost of a few pallets of sod — without the seam lines.

2

Germination in 5–7 days

Our slurry holds moisture and nutrients against the soil so seed pops fast and roots deep.

We had bare dirt after the build. Two weeks later the kids were rolling in grass. Way cheaper than sod and looks better long-term.
Hannah & Marcus T. · New build homeowners
I manage 30 acres of municipal right-of-way. GreenSpray's BFM slope work held through two heavy rains before grass came in. The erosion blanket plus tackifier was the difference.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Standard Mix and BFM?

Standard Mix is the right choice for flat to gently sloped areas (under ~3:1 grade). It's our most affordable option. BFM — Bonded Fiber Matrix — uses a heavier, wood-fiber-based mulch that bonds to the soil on contact. It's engineered for steep embankments, erosion-prone ditches, and grades steeper than 3:1 where a standard slurry would wash before the seed germinates.

Why does the calculator ask for a slope factor?

Overhead satellite maps show the 2-D footprint of an area, not its actual surface area. A steep slope has significantly more surface area than a flat plan view would suggest. A slope factor of 1.3 means the true surface area is 30% larger than the overhead measurement — which affects both material usage and price. For gentle slopes use 1.1–1.2; for steep embankments or 2:1 grades, use 1.4–1.5. When in doubt, call us and we'll help you pick the right factor.

How soon will I see green?

First sprouts at 5–7 days when properly watered. Full coverage at 3–4 weeks. First mow at 4–6 weeks once blades reach ~3 inches.

How often do I need to water?

Lightly 2–3 times a day for the first 2 weeks, then once daily for week 3, then taper to a normal schedule. We leave you a printed watering plan on every job.

What if patches don't come in?

Free re-spray on bare patches during the first 30 days, as long as the watering plan was followed.

What does the $200 mobilization fee cover?

Truck, equipment, and crew travel to your site. It applies to every job regardless of size and is included in the estimate the calculator shows you.

What if water isn't available on site?

We can truck water in. Select the 'Water is NOT available within 100 ft of the site' option in the calculator and a $150 surcharge is automatically added to your estimate.

Service area?

Metro and surrounding counties. We travel for jobs over 30,000 sq ft — contact us for a custom delivery quote if you're further out.
